FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions from Preschool Parents
Dear Preschool Parents,
We hear many questions when parents inquire about our preschool programme, and we hope that this FAQ answers some of yours!
1. Does my child need to be fully toilet-trained before entering the preschool programme? We require that parents have begun the process of earnest toilet-training with their child at home. Our preschool teachers are willing to work with parents as a team to complete the toilet-training process. The teachers follow regular intervals of toileting through the day, teach children routines, as well as praise and reward with success! We ask that parents partner with us by doing the same in the evenings and on weekends. We accept "pull-ups" only in our preschool.
2. My child does not nap. What will she do during the scheduled daily nap time? Children are required to have a quiet rest time daily, even though they do not sleep. This down time is beneficial for their overall growth and well-being. We have an "early risers" option for children who do not sleep to rise earlier, and participate in quiet table-top activities until the rest of the preschoolers wake up from their nap.
3. What is the teacher:child ratio? The maximum ratio is 8:1.
4. Is the preschool open year round? The preschool is open 12 months of the year. We do shut down approximately a week between Christmas and New Years, and a week at the end of July every year.
5. Is the uniform included in the fees? Parents order and pay for the uniforms directly from Top Marks, our uniform supplier. We have samples at the school, so you can try on items for size.
We hope that this FAQ has answered some of your questions! Please contact us if you have any further questions, we would love to speak to you in person and show you around our preschool.
