Grade 4 and 5 students had a phenomenal year of skiing!  All three ski days were warm with amazing conditions. 

As always, skiing was closely supervised with a high adult:child ratio, and children were required to ski in control at all times.  Continual turns were also required - this is how children get their "ski legs", and learn to ski in a safe, controlled manner.

Group D students wrote a song to go with an instrument they made. First, they chose one of the five themes on the Smart board, then chose the related vocabulary to write their song in the imperative tense!

Group C students created painted Valentine cards inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's "Colour Study: Squares with Concentric Circles"!

Group D students began their science unit on building bridges and structural strength with Science Sue!  She will be joined by Professor Don in a few weeks, and together they will teach students how to build strength in bridges, culminating in a friendly contest to build a bridge that will withstand the most number of bricks before breaking!

Today was a very exciting day, as not only was it Valentine's Day, but it was also the 100th day of school!
